Dreams
Throughout the novel, Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck), you hear about the main character's dream. This dream is to save up enough money so that one day they can buy a couple of acres of land. With the land, they will have pigs, cows, chickens, and rabbits (that are very colorful) - which Lennie gets to tend. They're going to have a vegetable garden and alfalfa. Their little cottage is going to have a wood burning stove so that when it rains and gets cold outside, they can just stay inside and not to any work. I think that George can obtain this dream, but Lennie is pulling him back. If he did not have Lennie with him, George could definitely do this. But with the way the he takes care of Lennie ... I don't think it's possible. I personally think that it is important for people to have realistic dreams for the future. Even if others doubt your dreams, you still need to believe in them. It shouldn't matter what somebody thinks of you, let alone what you dream. To me, dreams are wishes that you someday want to accomplish. Even if somebody doesn't think you can accomplish it, I believe that with a will there's a way. So don't let somebody discourage your dreams. If dreams go unfulfilled for a long time, the dream will change or the person will realize that it's not going to happen. An example to hold onto a realistic dream is in Lennie's case. At the end of the book, Gegorge tells Lennie about their dream house, and then he shot him. He died happily, which is good. Another example is if somebody needs closure. They'll keep thinking about it and worrying about it until the think that they're dream of a peaceful rest upon their loved one has come.

Brittany what are some of your dreams?
I honestly don't know where to begin. I want to go to college, and graduate high school with great grades. I either want to do something with the goverment or be a marine biologist. Thanks for asking (:
